Whitsunday Region Resident Membership
All permanent residents of the Whitsunday Regional Council local government area who have provided suitable identification and proof of residency can join the Whitsunday Regional Libraries for free. Resident members can borrow up to 20 items at any one time for 3 weeks except for reference material, eBooks and eAudiobooks (which have a two week loan period).

Non Resident Membership
Adult visitors or temporary residents are also welcome to join the library. This membership entitles users to a short-term 3 month membership with the ability to loan 4 items for 3 weeks with no renewals. To join, members need to be living in the area for more than 3 weeks and are requested to provide Photo ID with home address plus proof of local address.
How do I join?
You can join the library by providing identification of one of the above and completing membership either at your local library or online.
As a parent / guardian / borrower you are responsible for:
A maximum of five reservations per Whitsunday Region Resident membership and four reservations per Non Resident user applies.
Renewals (applies to Whitsunday Resident Membership only)
Items may be renewed over the phone or online, provided the item is not reserved by another user.
