Water and Sewage Assets
The water and sewerage department strives to deliver a safe, accessible and affordable water and sewerage system that meets social and environmental objectives including:

• Supplying safe, reliable drinking water to consumers
• Planning for and delivering cost effective water and wastewater infrastructure
• Sustainable asset maintenance of the water and wastewater infrastructure

The water and sewerage department manages four water schemes and four sewerage schemes servicing a population greater than 35,000.

Water assets include:
• Total Connections – 14,760
• Water Treatment Plants – 4
• Water mains: 464km
• Pump stations - 18
• Bores - 19
• Reservoirs – 25 Total storage capacity 49.77ML
• Total region water consumption – 8593ML

Sewerage assets include:
• Total Connections – 11,390
• Sewerage Treatment Plants - 4
• Pump Stations - 78
• Sewerage Mains: 362km
• Recycled water scheme: 2
• Total volume waste water treated – 3057ML
• Total volume recycled water consumed – 403ML
