Works for Queensland

The 2016-17 Works for Queensland (W4Q) program is a $200 million Queensland Government initiative funded under the State Infrastructure Fund. W4Q is about employing local businesses, creating jobs and stimulating the local economy. 

Whitsunday Regional Council was allocated $4.36M, and will be delivering the below projects by 30 November 2017. The projects will be completed in various locations across the region and include upgrades to parks, shade structures, skillion structures (small shelters), foreshores, facilities, water and waste, installation of solar panels and more.

The projects below which are currently underway are expected to be completed by the end of November 2017, weather permitting.
