Due to the extensive damage to the Proserpine Council Chambers building during Tropical Cyclone Debbie council’s Customer Service Centre had been temporarily located at the Proserpine Library.
However as the full extent of damage to the Chambers is still being assessed, Council has created a semi-permanent Customer Service Centre located at 52 Main Street, Proserpine.
This Customer Service Centre will be open from Monday 19 June and is for the convenience of customers in the southern end of the region to make payments or lodge enquiries.
Customers are reminded that the temporary staff office space in Cannonvale is not a Customer Service Centre and is not equipped to take payments or perform other Customer Service functions.
Council would like to encourage customers to pre-arrange appointments with officers via phone on (07) 4945 0200 to ensure the officer is available as staff are in different locations due to the temporary closure of the Proserpine Council Chambers.
Council also advises that all Ordinary Council Meetings scheduled to be held in Proserpine will now be at the Proserpine Community Centre.
Council has three Customer Service Centres region wide, open Monday - Friday 8:15am to 5:00pm (Cashier closes at 4:45pm daily):
