Seniors can improve their digital literacy for free as the Tech Savvy Seniors Queensland program rolls out across the Whitsunday Region.
Mayor Andrew Willcox said the program will provide an opportunity for training to older Queenslanders in basic digital literacy and encourage them to use technology to connect with their family and the broader community.
“Seniors can sign up to learn how to use a tablet device, smartphone, navigate social media, shop online and access government services,” Mayor Willcox said.
“Having a basic knowledge of using the internet would open the door to various interests and services for Whitsunday seniors.”
“I encourage anyone who wants to improve their technology skills to sign up for a free course and give it a go.”
