Whitsunday Regional Council today resolved to adopt off-street parking fees at the Port of Airlie.
Mayor Jenny Whitney said fees associated with the Port of Airlie car park are the same feestructure being charged everywhere in Airlie Beach.
“All off-street parking fees in Airlie Beach are uniform, so no stakeholder is advantaged ordisadvantaged by having different fees,” she said.
The following fees relate to Off-Street Parking at Port of Airlie for 2014-2015:
0 – 2 Hours $2.002 – 4 Hours $4.004 – 12 Hours $6.0012 –24 Hours $8.00
Each Additional Day of part thereof an Additional Day $8.00
Port of Airlie Parking Permits – Annual permit to park in car park
28 days $168.006 months $840.0012 months $1,344.00
Port of Airlie is a declared off-street parking area in accordance with the WhitsundayRegional Council Subordinate Local Law No. 5 (Parking) 2014 Section 6(2) and thereforeCouncil may impose parking fees.
