Whitsunday Regional Council today adopted the 2013-14 Annual Report and resolved a copywould be sent to the Minister for Local Government, Community Recovery and Resilience and itwould be made available on Council’s website.
Mayor Jenny Whitney said the Annual Report for 2013-14 is now available to the public andprovides a summary of Council’s performance and achievements over the 12 month period.
“The 2013-14 financial year was a busy period for Council with five major capital works projectscompleted including two Water Treatment Plants, two Sewage Treatment Plants and theAirlie Beach Main Street rejuvenation, of which the community is now reaping the benefits,” shesaid.
“2013-14 was also a year of consolidation and economising for Whitsunday Regional Council, tobuild a solid foundation for the future prosperity of the whole Whitsunday region.
“The annual report is an insight into Council’s operations and financial position and also anacknowledgement of Council’s commitment to serving the needs of our community andstakeholders into the future.
“The audited financial statements were received back from the Queensland Audit Office on the27th October 2014 and are also available in the Annual Report.
