Mayor Jenny Whitney said the nine Council Mo Bros should be commended on raising money and awareness for men’s health by growing moustaches for the month of November.
“The Council Mo Bros taking part in Movember have helped unite the workplace through holdingfundraising events and have had some fun raising awareness for men’s health, specificallyprostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health,” she said.
“Congratulations to the Mo Bros who raised $1003.65 for these very worthy causes, I knoweveryone is pleased it is now December and the moustaches have been shaven off.”
A Mo Bro takes action by changing their appearance through the growth of a new a moustache for the 30 days of November to change the face of men’s health.
But Movember is more than just an excuse to grow a fine piece of moustachery, it’s aboutconversations while raising funds and awareness. It’s about having fun and doing good.
