Whitsunday Regional Council is advising primary producers and other agvet chemical users that
ChemClear will be in the region from May to June this year to collect unwanted chemicals.
Mayor Jenny Whitney said ChemClear are asking all waste holders to register their unwanted
chemicals prior to 27th March on their website.
“Whitsunday Regional Council is pleased to be working with ChemClear and the QueenslandGovernment again this year to help collect and dispose of potentially dangerous agvet chemicals
from the local community,” she said.
“Once people have registered their unwanted chemicals online with ChemClear they will be given an appointment time to dispose of their chemicals.
“Whitsunday Regional Council is providing Kelsey Creek Landfill and Bowen Landfill as the venues for the ChemClear appointments,” she said.
