Whitsunday Regional Council is lending support for today’s Purple Day for Epilepsy with all the Councillors signing the “Purple Pledge”.
Whitsunday Regionals Council Mayor Jenny Whitney said Purple Day is a grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide.
“By all the Whitsunday Regional Councillors signing the Purple Pledge we are raising awareness about epilepsy in the local community and acknowledging and supporting people living with epilepsy,” she said.
“The Purple Pledge Project is an Epilepsy Queensland initiative to raise awareness of epilepsy and dispel the myths surrounding the condition.”
