It has been 25 seasons since the Whitsunday Brahmans A Grade won their last premiership in alocal competition between Bowen, Ayr & Collinsville.
The grand final in the reserve grade competition will see our boys take on the defending premiers, Moranbah.
“We wish the Brahmans reserves boys all the best in their decider, and will be cheering them all of the way,” Mayor Jennifer Whitney said.
“I understand that the reserve grade will be up against some very experienced players on theMoranbah team, but the Brahmans have proved they have what it takes having beaten them attheir last encounter at the Les Stagg Oval,”
In the A grade grand final, the Brahmans take on the minor-premiers Sarina.
“Our Brahmans team managed to defeat minor-premiers in the semi-final, so a repeat performance will see the premiership trophy travel north to the Whitsundays for the first time,
“We are proud of the effort all players have made to get to this stage, and their success is atestimony to the strength and endurance of these fine players, and coaching staff.” Mayor Whitney said.
