Whitsunday Regional Council has approved $16,840 in Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) grants for local artists and community organisations.
Councillor Jan Clifford, who serves on the RADF Committee, said she was pleased with the diverse range of arts and cultural groups receiving grants.
“RADF is a fantastic initiative and a highly successful partnership between state and local government which allows various local groups and individuals to expand and promote arts and culture in our region,” Cr Clifford said.
The following RADF grants have been approved by Council:
• Bowen Historical Society & Museum Inc. - $550• Top of the Range Catering Events & Management Pty Ltd - $3000• Art Whitsunday Inc. - $4050• Bowen Christian Outreach Centre - $4050• Daphne Hansen - $660• Bowen Quilters & Needlecraft Group Inc. - $1530• Andrew Pattinson (VAMPP Photography) - $3000
The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between Whitsunday Regional Council and the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland to support local arts and culture.
