Whitsunday Regional Libraries will offer an exciting range of free activities for children to enjoy during the upcoming school holidays from Monday 27 June to Friday 8 July.
Mayor Andrew Willcox said that local children are encouraged to unlock their imaginations and join the fun on offer at the local libraries.
“Our library staff will have a great range of activities to keep children amused in a safe and educational environment,” Cr Willcox said.
“Activities include Star Wars and Angry Birds paper craft, sand art, mixed media painting sessions, photography and Ozobot workshops, just to name a few,” he said.
Places are limited so early bookings are recommended. Age limits may apply to some activities.Parents are reminded that children under 8 years must be accompanied and supervised by an adult when visiting the libraries, and that some activities are guaranteed to be messy, so it is recommended children wear old clothes.
Not all activities are available at all centres, so please check with your local branch for further information.
