Hints on applying for grants Minimize

Keep copies of the following documents in a master folder (or on CD):
 

  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Tax File Number
  • The previous two (2) years audited financial reports
  • Current Club Committee Information and Contact details
  • Club Profile including history, highlights and goals
  • ABN/GST Registration
  • DGR authorisation (if applicable)
  • Constitution
  • Bank Account Details
  • Strategic Plan
     

Benefit Statements: 
 

  • The more letters the better, most clubs and organisations are happy to support each other.
  • Remember, the greater the benefit to the wider community, and showing organisations working together, the more likely you are to be successful.
  • Sell yourself. Nobody else will promote your club or organisation better than a dedicated member and/or volunteer.
     

Presentation:
 

  • REMEMBER - FIRST IMPRESSIONS COUNT
  • Take a little bit of extra time - check spelling and project costs, layout and keep it simple and concise.
     

Before mailing the completed application:
Check the checklist and keep a copy.

And Finally:

 

  • The more grants you apply for, the simpler the process becomes.
  • Don't become disheartened if you aren't successful with every grant.
  • No club or organisation is 100% successful.
  • Just keep trying and don't be afraid to ask for help or input.
