There are several parks and gardens around the shire. In Proserpine there is Pioneer Park (at the town’s entrance), Mill Street Park and the Entertainment Centre park (all have picnic tables, toilets and barbeques). Rotary Park in Faust Street, John's Estate Park in Keith Johns Drive and Halpannel in Hansen Drive have playground equipment and picnic tables.
At the turn-off to Airlie Beach is Myrtle Creek Park, then out along the Strathdickie Road is the Pat Botto Park.
Down at Cannonvale there is the Cannonvale Beach Foreshore, which has toilets and picnic tables and opposite the Bicentennial Park beside Cannonvale Primary School has a barbeque area. Then along Tropic Road is a park, all contain playground equipment.
Further on is the Shingley Beach Reserve and then at Airlie Beach is the Lagoon and Airlie Beach Foreshore, all containing picnic tables and toilets.
