Whitsunday Regional Council adoption of the Planning Scheme and Planning Scheme Policies for the Shire of Whitsunday.
Under the Integrated Planning Act 1997, schedule 1 that on 17 December, 2008 Whitsunday Regional Council adopted a new planning scheme for the Whitsunday Shire.
The planning scheme becomes the planning scheme for Whitsunday Shire and replaces the existing planning scheme.
The planning scheme policies will have effect on and from 9 January 2009.

The planning scheme and planning scheme policies are also available for inspection at the Department of Infrastructure and Planning, Level 7, 63 George Street, Brisbane or at the office at Level 1, Post Office Square, 73 Sydney Street, Mackay.
